The war has begun... Nearly twelve years ago the griffons invaded Equestria. Canterlot fell, the Princesses and their heroes scattered; and all seemed lost after eight long years of battle. Equestria's once-great cities now rest in ruin under a gloomy sky full of rain and sadness. The light that had once shined down on Equestria had long burned out... Or, so it would seem. Four years after the war was concluded officially, and Year 0 began, a rebel force was building under the rubble and sorrow of the streets above. An underground force built out of ponies, zebras, some griffons, and every other species still residing and loyal to Equestria has been gathering, building up their resources, and planning to retake their country.

Year 4; four years since the great war ended, and four years under Griffon Kingdom rule. The ponies and residents of Equestria have been oppressed, brutalized, hunted, murdered, and even eaten by the griffon tyrants. Enough is enough. The time has come to rise up and take back Princess Celestia's country! It begins now, with you! Choose your side... Will you choose to fight for your freedom! Or will you choose to crush the rebels, and seek the power and riches which follow...
