Rules of Dragons In Equestria

Postby Korkoa » Tue Jan 08, 2013 4:47 pm

Alright, in addition to the forum rules, we have some rules specific to individual RPs, in this case, Dragons in Equestria.

1: Keep it PG/Low PG-13. This is, after all, based on a children's show.

2: No playing as adult dragons. They are simply too powerful. Available races and factions can be found here.

3: There is a 2 character limit currently, but there are opportunities to earn or win more character slots.

4: There is a strict cap on the number of Alicorn characters, as well as characters displaced from their home dimensions. The current cap for each group is 8% of the player population.

5: There is absolutely no godmodding. For those who are not familiar with that term, godmodding is having an all-powerful character, or a character doing something they cannot normally do.

6: No autohitting. This means if you get in a fight with another character, you must give them a chance to dodge your attack. On a similar line, autododging is discouraged as well. It's no fun for anyone to be fighting a character who never gets hit.

7: Character development is great, and is encouraged. However, if you need a specific NPC of your own design in order to develop your character, or fulfill a plan, please run it past the mods first, so we have an idea of what you're wanting to accomplish.

8: If someone else has created an NPC that you want to use, get their permission beforehand.

9: No playing as canon NPCs. This includes, but is not limited to: The Mane 6, the Alicorn Princesses, the Apple Family, Shining Armor, Mayor Mare, etc. These are considered GM NPCs, if you wish to interact with them, then contact the mods.

10: So as to make everything easier to keep track of, we ask that you follow a certain format as a header for your post. An example is shown below.

Twilight Sparkle
Canterlot-Library-Starswirl the Bearded's Wing

As you can see, the top line shows what character(s) you're writing for, and the bottom line provides the location. Topic you post in, general area, specific area. Please remember to follow this format, in order to cut down on confusion.
