Chitin - Equuleus - Nurse's Office

As Doctor Heart began talking, Chitin let out a sigh as he felt the emotions around him tasting the sweet love that comes from family however he couldn't full enjoy it for long as the bitterness of frustration began to fill the room. It grew in strength eventually drowning out the small hint of love he had tasted. Replayed by what he could only call was buried sorrow. Unfortunately, emotion is emotion. He could feel his stomach no longer complaining as he found something to eat but he couldn't help but feel guilty for getting a meal like this. "I...I'm sorry. Can I, can I just say that I'm glad you came here?" the changeling tried to lighten the mood. "I, I mean I don't, I don't really know what condition I would be in if you hadn't been here."

Dr. Heart nodded, letting the bitter memory of Wild Heart slip away into the nothing where she'd buried it. She gave Chitin a sympathetic smile. "It's quite alright. I often teach at the medical building here, mostly students looking to become surgeons. Surgery is my speciality. Patching you up was an interesting glimpse into a physiology that I'm not familiar with, a rare opportunity indeed." She said, her eyes gleaming, "I always wondered if I'd ever get to work on a changeling. I was working in a hospital during the seige, you see. But we never had any changelings come in." She shrugged, "But I'm sure you'd rather be treated by someone with a better grasp of your physiology. I can't blame you there."

"I, I hope we didn't cause too much trouble for you afterwards." Chitin replied, "I, I can't lie I am missing the Hive, or at least I wish I had been given some medicinal salves from the medical branch." looking at Honey, the changeling began to backtrack, "oh I-I don't mean what you did was, was wrong in anyway. A-actually we changelings have learned a lot from your doctors, even adapting a few of our medical procedures to better fit your own. T-then again we have given you guys some of our medical cures."

Dr. Heart nodded, steepling her fingers, "It's true. We have learned much from your kind." She said, taking a sip of her cola. "Now then, you need to understand something. What happened in the past, that is in the past. You cannot keep blaming yourself for the actions of your kinsmen. You are going to have to forgive yourself and your kind sometime. And soon. All this negativity is bad for you. And you're going to need to find some confidence in yourself, as yourself. Miss Alistair got away with it this time, but she won't be able to do it again. And I have a feeling that someday, that girl is going to need you too, when she's ready." She said with a sigh. "Now then, are you ready to go back to your dorm? I can call security to walk you back."

Chitin thought about what he had just heard. But he was supposed to be, in a way, an envoy for the changelings at this for this college. Politically wasn't it a good thing to accept one's mistakes and ask for forgiveness should that mistake have hurt another? "Are, are you sure my wounds have healed enough to leave?" the changeling asked, a hint of concern in his voice. The presence of security would certainly help boost his confidence but another part of him didn't want to be anywhere near where he had originally ran into the Tri's. Hopefully this new set of dorms would be ready for him soon.

Dr. Heart shrugged. "You made it out here and were able to shift. I'm not sure how quickly your kind heals. You are free to stay in the infirmary for as long as you see fit." She said calmly, "Whenever you do feel ready, please let me know so I can have campus police escort you wherever you need to go." She said, taking a bite of the food she'd brought.

"I-I guess you're right. I guess I don't need to be here, thank, thank you Ms.Heart." Chitin replied looking over his bandaged self. He still felt the aches and pains that had burdened him throughout the day, but at least now it seemed as if he had finally stopped bleeding and was starting to heal. Again he did wish he had some salves. Maybe there were some in the pack the Hive had given him. "I, I would very much like that. Thank you. If, if there is something I can do to repay the kindness and everything you did to help me..."

Dr. Heart nodded to him with a smile. "Take care of yourself, and be safe." She said with a wave, and stuffed another little bit of food in her mouth.
